Road signs in Drogheda

Road signs in Ireland

Is it just me or does it not strike one as odd that two years after the M1 opened there are no signposts in Drogheda pointing to it. You would think that after spending more than €200 million on a thing you would let people know where it is. You can actually see the new bridge but don't try and get there by car.

Granted I hardly expected the N1 signs to be replaced when the road was renamed the R132, we just have to wait for them to fall down. It can't help tourists when the only signs point to a non-existant road.

It's not as if signs can't be changed there was no problem upgrading to metric speed signs.

What's the story
